While cotton barely takes up 3% of agricultural land, it accounts for 16% of all the insecticides and 7% of all herbicides used worldwide. Health effects of pesticides range from skin rash to hormone disruption and cancer. That’s why choosing  organic over conventional cotton is so important.

I wish we all could have closets that contain only 100% organic clothes. For most of us, this is, unfortunately, not possible (and getting rid of some non-organic clothing would also be wasteful). In our family, we have prioritized buying 100% organic underwear and PJs since we wear them closest to our skin and also spend most of the time wearing.
