6 wellbeing practices that actually matter

I feel like we often tend to overcomplicate things. Kids are notoriously black and white. It’s either “I love you” or “I hate you”, which also changes every 5mins if not more of often. Yes, their prefrontal cortex is still developing – and yet, there’s something so profoundly beautiful in its simplicity in how they make choices. They KNOW. Because it either FEELs right to them or not. There’s nothing in between. And more importantly, the only thing that matters to them is the NOW. The thought of playing later instead of now is almost unbearable. Why postponing joy, duh?

As adults, we tend to introduce a zillion variables into our decision making. Moreover, we are also surrounded by so much noise: opinions, “science”, expectations, obligations, duties, goals etc. While in the end, there are few things that actually MATTER. Not only do we struggle sorting them out as we juggle figuring out what we actually know and feel. What’s worst, we oftentimes postpone what we actually know HAS TO be done. Because the noise is too strong, preventing our intuition from coming through.

there are few things that actually MATTER

I’ve been privileged to meet people at various stages of their healing journeys. Naturally, they all have different approaches, which got me thinking about the ones that actually matter? After we remove all the noise that is.

While I’ve tried and LOVE quite a few healing tools and approaches myself, I came to realize that there are only a few practices that have had the most profound effect on my own wellbeing. Interestingly, all of them are FREE (although not effortless):

1. Exercise –

to fuel the body

2. Diet –

to nourish the body

3. Sleep –

to reboot the system

4. Meditation –

to train the mind

5. Fulfilling relationships –

to nurture the soul

6. Avoiding toxic exposures –

to maintain the progress achieved by all of the above

I’ve realized that I need extra support (in the form of supplements, adjustments, biohacking, etc) ONLY when I’ve neglected one or more of the above. NOW.

If you really feel into it – when you let all the feels come through and translate into the unwavering knowledge – what has made the largest positive impact on YOUR health?

Thank you for being here.

Con Amor,

Milda
